Lesson #3 Camera Control and Fine Tuning

3.1 Resolution

High Resolution - 16m, Quality- Fine

Low Resolution - 4m, Quality - Standard

3.2 Shutter Speed
Shutter Speed 1/320

Shutter Speed 1/1250

3.3 Shutter Speed - Object in Motion

Shutter Speed 1/500

Shutter Speed 1.3"

3.4 Aperture
Sharp Foreground to Background.  Aperture - F25

Sharp Foreground, blurred background.  Aperture - F4.5

Supported Camera on top of boxes

3.6

Sharp Foreground/Blurred Background -  Aperture F4.5, Shutter Speed 1/40, getting eye level with the objects worked best for me.  It was easier to focus on the foreground and blur the background.

Sharp foreground and background - Aperture F22, Shutter Speed 0.6".  Again, getting eye level with the objects helped taking the photo.

3.7 Convey Feeling of Motion

To make my moving object (Lacey my dog) appear blurred I changed my shutter speed to 1/6

3.8 Moving Object (Dark/Light)

Moving Object (Light) - Shutter Speed 1", Aperture 20.  I noticed that if my aperture was lower the lighter my photo was and then it was hard to see my moving object.  This took a long time for me to figure out!  If I caught my moving object (husband) in the wrong spot it would not show up in the photo.

Moving Object (Dark)- Shutter Speed 4", Aperture F25.  I noticed the longer my shutter speed the longer my line of light was.  I also changed the aperture to make the photo appear darker.    I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I'm crazy for making my husband drive up and down the street to get this photo.
