Science Experiment - Making it Rain

1.  Gather all materials.

 

2.  Pour water into the cup.

 

3.  Put shaving cream on top of the water.  (Cloud)

 

 

4.  Drop five drops of food coloring on top of shaving cream.  (Rain)

 

5.  You made it rain!

 Extra Credit 

1. In second grade my students need to be able to follow multiple step directions.  To test my students I would have them create this science experiment using the photos.  If they can correctly do it then they pass my assessment.  
2. I could also turn this into a writing assessment.  Using the photos I would have my students create a "how to paper" explaining how to do this experiment.
